Ted Frantum
A veteran of World War II, Ted Frantum and his late wife, Kay, moved to Carroll County from Annapolis in 2009. Kay had attended McDaniel College, loved the area, and always wanted to return. Ted is a strong believer in supporting his community hospital. Soon after moving to Carroll County, Ted became a donor and subsequently became a member of our Bridge Builders Society. Not only has Ted provided for Carroll Hospital in his will but he has also established an income-for-life charitable gift annuity with Carroll Hospital Foundation.
"Carroll Hospital does wonderful work in providing top-notch health care for our community, and in keeping us informed about health care issues. I thought it was important for them to know that I have included a bequest to Carroll Hospital in my estate plans. It's my way of saying 'thank you' and 'keep up the good work' for generations to come."
Donor Ted Frantum sets a great example by telling us about his gift. If you have questions or hesitations about making a gift-or about coming forward to tell us-we can help. When you include us in your will, or make Carroll Hospital or Carroll Hospice a beneficiary, you can plan a gift to us that will only take effect after your other obligations have ceased-so you can care for those important to you, now AND later!
If you are ready to make a new planned gift, or already have Carroll Hospital or Carroll Hospice in your plans, let us know so we can welcome you as a member of the Bridge Builders Society. As a member, you'll enjoy the benefits of no dues or obligations and the satisfaction of being a part of Carroll Hospital's and Carroll Hospice's future. You will also inspire generosity in others. You always have the option of remaining anonymous as well, so there's no reason not to share!
Did you know you can make a gift to Carroll Hospital and get something back?
It's called a charitable gift annuity, a simple contract between you and Carroll Hospital. In exchange for your gift of cash or stock, Carroll Hospital makes regular fixed payments to you, you and your spouse or someone you name, for life.
You get a charitable deduction, above-CD yields and favorable tax treatment of your annuity payments. The remaining principal goes to Carroll Hospital when the contract ends.
